The Benefits of Going Solar is Bright

Solar Is More Than Energy Savings

Rising utility costs, tax incentives, and knowing you’re helping to reduce your carbon footprint are all contributing to the increased demand for residential solar.

Solar is Affordable

Most homeowners can afford to go solar. In fact, our customers are often shocked by just how affordable it can be. Between a reduced electricity bill, federal tax credits (noting at a minimum that not all customers may qualify and that customers should consult a tax professional for their individual situation), and financing, most customers regret not going solar sooner.

At Your Home Solar, we pride ourselves with being up front and honest about pricing, expectations, and follow up on our promise of providing industry leading customer service. We believe in service after the sale and will be here when you need us.

Benefits of Going Solar

Learn More About The Benefits of Going Solar

Reduced Energy Bills

One of the most significant benefits of residential solar panel installation is the reduction in energy bills. Solar panels allow homeowners to generate their own electricity, which means they are less reliant on the grid. This can result in substantial savings on energy bills over time, especially as energy prices continue to rise. With solar panels, homeowners can potentially reduce their electricity bills by up to 100%.

Increased Home Value

Another benefit of residential solar panel installation is that it can increase the value of a home. Studies have shown that homes with solar panels sell for more than homes without them. This is because potential buyers recognize the value of having a renewable energy source that can help them save money on energy bills. Additionally, solar panels are a long-term investment, and they can provide a return on investment over time. Need to substantiate. Study that can be cited?

Environmental Benefits

Solar panels are a renewable energy source, which means they do not emit harmful pollutants into the environment. By generating their own energy with solar panels, homeowners can significantly reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment. In fact, a typical residential solar panel system can reduce carbon emissions by up to 4 tons annually. This is the equivalent of planting over 100 trees each year.

Energy Independence

Solar panel installation also provides homeowners with a sense of energy independence. By generating their own electricity, they become less reliant on traditional energy sources and the grid. This means that even during power outages, they can continue to generate their own energy and maintain power in their homes. This can be particularly important in areas with frequent power outages or where access to the grid may be limited.

Tax Incentives and Rebates

Another benefit of residential solar panel installation is the availability of tax incentives and rebates. The federal government offers a 30% tax credit (noting at a minimum that not all customers may qualify and that customers should consult a tax professional for their individual situation) for the cost of solar panel installation, and many states offer additional incentives and rebates. These can significantly reduce the cost of installation, making it more affordable for homeowners. Additionally, some utility companies offer programs that allow homeowners to sell excess energy back to the grid, which can further reduce the cost of energy bills.

Low Maintenance Costs

Solar panels require very little maintenance, which means that homeowners can save money on maintenance costs over time. They typically only need to be cleaned periodically to ensure that they are generating energy at optimal levels. Additionally, solar panels have a long lifespan and can last up to 25 years or more. This means that homeowners can rely on them for many years to come, without having to worry about frequent repairs or replacements.

We had a great experience with Your Home Solar. The installation was high quality, communication was clear, they always showed up as scheduled, and the professional team provided honest, reliable service. Anita handled all of the permitting and coordination with our local utility company. We really appreciate the energy savings and would highly recommend them. And just last night our neighborhood had a power outage; thanks to the solar battery backup we still had electricity.

Your Home Solar is an exceptional company and I couldn’t be more pleased with their service. From the scheduling on the phone to the successful repair they did, my experience was stress free. The young men they sent out were knowledgeable, polite, and explained everything to me clearly. They called when they were headed out, as well, so I knew when to expect them. And I was pleased with the price they gave me. I had expected it to be more! I have recently been very disappointed in companies I’ve been dealing with and to have someone show up when they said they would and not try and gouge me is worth a lot. I highly recommend this company for all your solar needs. I would give them ten stars if I could.

Your Home Solar was great to work with. It began with Micha arriving exactly at the appointment time doing a full review of our solar needs, and conducting an inspection of the location for the installation. Next was a review of our power bills and a system design. After agreeing to the price an installation time frame was laid out. The crew arrived as planned for the install. They worked quickly and professionally completing the project on time and made sure everything was working before leaving. The system has been working flawlessly for four months

I waited nearly a year to post this review so I could see how the system performed across the seasons. I had it installed in November 2025, so production was naturally lower at first, but by spring and summer my savings really showed up. I'm averaging about a hundred dollars a month off my electric bill. We've had several outages from cars hitting poles and downed lines, but the battery backup kept my house powered while the rest of the neighborhood was dark. This has been one of the best upgrades I've made to my home. Your Home Solar exceeded my expectations, and John Dando did an outstanding job helping us through the process and helping us us get the exact system I needed for our house. I highly recommend Your Home Solar.

I’m currently running at 95-100% solar, 0-5% on the grid after 7 months from installation. To date I’ve saved &2500 on the monthly electric bills. I only wish the total price was still deductible on federal income tax .
